Music Video Review
The Devil Wears Prada - "Worldwide"
Written by: Charles
The Devil Wears Prada has released another amazing music video! Their video for "Worldwide" is the third music video from their most recent album, "Transit Blues." The song is about how they are able to travel the world but unable to truly explore all the great towns they are in. They explicitly talk about Tokyo and how they want to "get lost" in the city. But in the end they say that "Home is always best, my neighborhood in the Midwest."
Now for the video, it is another home run coming from The Devil Wears Prada. It starts off with a girl watching a building on fire then the band fades in to start the song. Instantly you notice the shining lights wrapped around the band, acting as wires coming from the microphones and guitars. Then the girl comes back to walking down a hall to a room with a robot that seems to be broken or off. The girl starts to work on the robot and programming it all the while it shoots to clips of the band performing. The video then ends with the girl running down the same hallway and the very last scene in the robot shooting up into the sky. Overall the video has amazing visuals, high quality camera work, and has a great story plot along with it. The Devil Wears Prada never disappoints with their videos.
Make sure you go check out the video! And while you're at it, might as well listen to the rest of the album!
