It's official that One Direction is on an indefinite hiatus, but no need to fret! Three of the four remaining members have been nothing but busy exploring their own solo talents.
Back in December, Louis Tomlinson teamed up with Steve Aoki to create "Just Hold On". Now, it looks likes the Irish heartthrob, that is Niall Horan, is making his own debut breakthrough in the solo world. Last year, Niall released a track titled "This Town", which was a major success, and now he has released yet another new single, titled "Slow Hands".
This entire song innocently and tenderly welcomes sex appeal from start to finish. The lyrics, the sweet intimate tone, and overall originality are definitive proof that this once-upon-a-time boy band member is making a name for himself on a serious note. The emotion conveyed in this song is a perfect combo of slow and sultry- making a seductive ballad. But it is also equal parts fun, flirty, and something cheeky.
Hearing the tender exhaust in his voice, sung swiftly within cozy guitar riffs, makes one imagine this as being a song you'd hear in a bar or intimate setting. Ed Sheeran vibes, Niall and his guitar, keeps it smooth and simple. Lyrically, this song is filled with imagery, intimate feelings, and sexy compassion. It's a song that speaks about taking your time with loving that certain someone that has the magic touch- you can't live without them. He is spilling his desires and feelings to a girl in hopes that she feels the same way. The slow hands represent how they are going to take their love slow, not rushing into things. What a transition from 1D- Remarkable!
Niall earns an 8 out of 10- very well done. Though it is such a simple piece, it truly contains complex feelings. Check it out!
Be sure to keep an eye out for more news regarding Niall's debut solo album, and a few other surprises he has in store!
