Have you ever wondered what the guys in A Day To Remember will look like a few decades into the future? Well, if curious, your mind can now be satisfied in ADTR’s newest music video for their song “Naivety”. It’s funny, unique, and entertaining to watch.
The music video, directed by Darren Doane, started off saying that A Day To Remember is getting back together for a reunion tour. It takes you on the journey with the band on their way to the venue where they frequently struggled doing simple tasks since they are at an older age in the video. Their tour van is also littered with pictures of their younger selves where Jeremy McKinnon can be seen reflecting on his youth. There are also clips in between where you can see the band members performing silly dance moves which creates a lighthearted mood to the entire music video.
Jeremy explained the meaning of the song to Kerrang! saying, "This was about the feeling of growing up, and losing that naïve outlook on life. I talk about those simple, stupid things that you think about when you're young. It's about growing up and coming to terms with who you are." This goes hand in hand with the video since the band members were portrayed at a much older age and they lost their naivety.
The music video gets a 10 out of 10. It’s comical and different and if you’re looking for a video to lighten your day then this may be perfect. Be sure to pick up “BadVibrations” at a music retailer near you because you won’t regret it. Don’t forget to check out our review of the album on our page!
