MUSIC VIDEO REVIEW
"Go Robot" by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Written by: Reagan
IT'S A SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER UP IN HERE! As the Red Hot Chili Peppers take us back to the groovy 1970's in their BRAND NEW music video for "Go Robot." Let's party and take a trip to the disco, because "Go Robot" is entertaining, creative, and comical. IT'S FAR OUT!! Having a story-line, a play on "Saturday Night Fever", it vibes with the groove of the tune and gives a laid back feel that both the listeners, and the viewers, can enjoy. Dance all you want to this video, but would ya just watch the hair?
Making his way down the city streets, Anthony Kiedis plays the role of a robot. Wearing well, nothing, he's covered head to toe in white paint and a thick 70's 'stache. After his failed attempts at picking up women, he makes his way to the disco. The disco is the place where this misplaced robot can finally feel free. He dances his heart out. Everyone's laughing and having a good ol' time. The night is carefree, and nobody seems to notice there's a robot there. The disco is where everyone belongs.
As Anthony Kiedis lets his robot worries go, he locks eyes with a foxy female robot across the room. It's love at first sight. They leap into each others arms, as any cheesy romance characters would, and gaze into the depths of their new found robot love. He found love at the disco. The video ends with a kiss as the song fades out. Oh, what a picture perfect ending. The two robots probably decided to go steady
"Go Robot" receives the Red Hot Chili Peppers an 8/10. It was fun to watch and caused a good laugh. It was a creative twist of a video and gave the viewer's something really radical.
Check it out and boogie!!
