"Wolfsbane" by Cry Venom

Capturing your attention right off the bat with heavy drums and rapid guitar notes, Cry Venom’s new release “Wolfsbane” is sure to be a new fan favorite.
After a tremendous year in 2015, touring the world and releasing a chart-topping album with his former band Falling In Reverse, Jacky Vincent kicked off 2016 with his newest project- a power-metal band that he’s always dreamt he could be apart of. He loved listening to the power-metal genre growing up and with his new band, he plans to add a lot of new, modern elements to this music scene. Working with musicians Niko Gemini, Colton Majors, Wyatt Cooper, and Aleksey Smirnov, the band is bringing in electronic and ambient keyboard to accompany Jacky’s shredding style. Which definitely created a new sound that is totally kick ass!
The new sound is a lot different from Jacky’s previous work with Falling In Reverse. FIR had a hard rock/post-hardcore style that was extremely catchy. But, the creativity was pretty restricted. With an energetic and upbeat sound, Cry Venom's style is a perfect mix of traditional metal and speed-metal. Letting the massive amount of creative talent reign free- Cry Venom was able to absolutely dominate the fast and demanding music styling that come with playing this kind of music.
Cry Venom are busy in the studio perfecting the rest of their debut album and are planning to go on tour, so keep an eye out for them! I give the song an overall rating of 8/10! Wolfsbane has DEFINITELY made it onto my playlist and I can't wait for the rest of the album!
