"Already Broken" - Upon A Burning Body

Deathcore band, Upon A Burning Body, has released their new music video for their latest single, "Already Broken". While the video doesn't directly relate to the lyrics, there is a nice mix of Latino culture and great lyrical content. The song is a tad repetitive, but it's not bad.
Even though the guitar riffs were a bit saturated and the tone was monotonous at times, the explosive creativity was there. It was as if the bikers at a bar had a show down with Sugar Skulls, and lost.
If the title was a metaphorical nod to the theme of the video, it correlates nicely. A bar fight broke out in the video and the sugar skulls were victorious in the end.
The symbolism to Mexican culture was strong and the sugar skulls represented their parts well. A sugar skull represents a departed soul, and the folk art of being happy, hence the massive painted smiles, colorful paints, and sparkly adornments. With Halloween right around the corner, or Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in Mexican/Latina culture, the band couldn't have picked a better time to debut their video.
Upon a Burning Body earns a 6 out of ten for their work. Though it didn't make sense to some, it was unique, and creative. Their new album, "Straight From the Barrio" is set to drop on October 28th, 2016 via Sumerian Records!
